This policy describes how Wenova Education handles the personal data it receives through the edu.wenova.io site, in line with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination (Infotv.).

2. What data we handle and why
Through the website's application form we handle the following data, solely to process your application and to contact you:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- the selected workshop date and any coupon code;
- the content of any additional message.
When you submit the application, the data is sent to us by email; processing is handled by a server-side function and an email-delivery provider (see section 4). The website does not store the data in a database.
On submission we technically verify that your email address is deliverable (whether its domain can receive mail), without storing any extra data. On the form you may optionally also consent to our newsletter — see section 5.
Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, or performance of the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)). For paid training and invoicing, a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
3. Retention period
- Application/correspondence data: 1 year from the close of contact.
- Data related to accounting documents (in case of payment): 8 years under Act C of 2000.
4. Data processors and recipients
- Hosting and application processing: Vercel Inc. (serving the website and processing the application form server-side). The website does not store personal data in a database.
- Transactional email delivery: Resend (sending the application and confirmation emails).
- Newsletter and subscriber-list management: Brevo (an EU-based email marketing provider) — only if you subscribe to the newsletter (marketing consent).
- Cookie and tag management: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Tag Manager) — only with your consent.
- Ad measurement and retargeting: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (LinkedIn Insight Tag) — only with marketing consent.
Cookie-related processing (analytics, advertising) is described in section 5 and in the Cookie Policy; these operate only on the basis of your consent. Some of these providers may operate outside the EU (in the USA); any transfer takes place with appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Cookies, web measurement and marketing (consent-based)
Based on your consent, the site may use analytics and marketing cookies or similar identifiers. These are off by default (Google Consent Mode v2) and activate only if you accept on the cookie bar. In that case the following data may be processed: device and browser data, IP address, on-site interactions and pseudonymous identifiers — for ad measurement, retargeting and traffic statistics.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the homepage footer; withdrawal takes effect going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. The specific providers (Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn Insight Tag) and details are in the Cookie Policy.
Newsletter: if you tick the separate box on the application form, you consent to Wenova contacting you by email about courses, offers and professional news. For this we process your name and email address in Brevo's (EU) subscriber system. You can unsubscribe with one click at any time via the link at the bottom of each newsletter. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). We may also contact participants of our past workshops about similar training on the basis of our existing customer relationship, likewise with one-click unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You are entitled to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can send your requests to workshops@wenova.io; we respond within 30 days at the latest.
You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., naih.hu.
7. Data security and changes
We handle data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access it only to the extent necessary. We update this policy as needed; the current version is always available on this page.
